The hall you see above the carpark is the local church, so care may be needed if caching while a service is underway.
From a nearby plaque:
"This monument was erected to the memory of the early settlers from Dalmatia, a province of Croatia, and once known as Yugoslavs, who arrived in this country near the turn of the century. Many of them, and others that followed, worked at kauri gum digging, then later developed and farmed the land in this surrounding area.
"Their descendants pay homage to their memory and the contribution they made to this, their new homeland.
"Unveiled on 29th January 1978 by M.V. SRHOJ J.P., Q.S.M. Chairman Mangonui County Council"
The cache is a micro bison tube, not attached to the building.
