Simply Paul: Three weeks later and I think it's time to archive this chilly, somewhat-damp-by-the-end meet. Thanks again for coming along, brave souls, and I hope you've added your Will Attend log to the Geolympix page at if you intend to come along. We're not far from regaining Mega status now [:)]
It'd be great if we could get to 300 WAs before the end of the month, as that's our 'six months to go' mark!

Geocache Description:

A Goodbye 2015 Geocaching event, timed to coincide with the final sunset of the year. Also a chance to find England's oldest cache (the UK's second oldest) and hear some more about our plans for next summer's Geolympix which is being held at Ashridge Estate on July 31st 2016.

Where: Beside the War Memorial overlooking the Vale of Aylesbury and Chequers at Coombe Hill, Bucks. See the additional waypoint for suggested parking (wheelchair access, fairly level approach)

When: 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Thursday, December 31st 2015, to coincide with the sunset, expected just after 4pm. Feel free to go caching and come back for midnight, as this is a popular spot from which to watch the fireworks.

Who: Cachers, old and young! Also caching dogs are welcome up here, but please dress for the conditions as it's an exposed location.

Why: Partly because you'll get a Souvenir for attending, and partly to wave off another classic year of caching. Also to promote the Geolympix and talk about the plans we have for the best (tbc) Geocaching event of 2016!

[New to caching or events? You'll be made especially welcome!]
