In 1928 as Toronto expanded eastwards, Pine Hills Cemetery was established on the northwest corner of Kennedy and St. Clair. It is a serene area, with many pines sheltering the resting places. Since it was opened, over 17,000 trees and shrubs have been planted including maple, black cherry, white ash and elm. Massey Creek, a tributary of the Don River, wanders through the cemetery. It was named after the Massey family, owners of the Canadian farm equipment company Massey-Ferguson.
As with all resting caches, please be respectful of the area. There is no need to disturb any of the resting places. You will know you are close to GZ when you see a miniature Rest Awhile sign. Take time to enjoy the tranquility of this peaceful area and remember that death is not an end but the beginning of the greatest adventure ever.
Please BYOP and sign very small as the log is tiny.
