Towards Linley Hill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: As this cache has been in need of attention for some time, with no update from the CO, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This is my first hide and placed in memory,  respect and love for John Stead (Cacher) who sadly passed away this time last year (2014). His enthusiasm for geoacaching was infectious leading to many joining his passionate hobby. This was a favourite spot of his, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Situated at what was the Church of St Faith, although no longer there an archaelogical dig was carried out in February 2013 and there are two interesting boards providing details of the dig and the Church.

Cache placed with the kind permission of The Church of England and under the Church guidance.
