Geocache Description:

Be respectful.  Cache is NOT in cemetery.  Not on private property either. Congrats to RStasicky for the FTF!

You are looking for a lock & lock container, cache is not in the cemetery so please be respectful of the area. No night caching please. This is a medium sized container with room for swag. FTF will find a travel bug. Manteno State Hospital opened in 1930 just down the road from this beautiful and quiet location. Like other homes for the mentally insane and disabled it has seen its share of tragedy which makes this location another great place for a memorial cache. There are 191 people buried in the cemetery on the Manteno State Hospital side, quite a few were interred here from the typhoid outbreak that occurred in 1939 and resulted in 60 deaths Happy caching!
