The Geocache is located on the property of a private residence. It's located near a favorite Kill Devil Hills Christmas attraction. The owner has given permission for placement and directed me to the spot he wanted it placed.
Don't look for this after dark , except the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas. You will look like a prowler. If you do come between Thanksgiving and Christmas, please enjoy the display. It's marvelous.
According to the owners of the property Mr. & Mrs. James Poulos,
“The
display has been viewed by millions from all walks of life and from all over the country and the world.”
The family began decorating this house in 1981. Each year the display grows and is improved. There is something for everyone. Even Santa visits some nights during the Christmas season. Mr. Poulos himself can be found some evenings, as the Chief Engineer of the train sets.
Traffic is very busy evenings, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, drive carefully.
