Mark your calendars to celebrate Leap Day with an Irish twist!
Leap on in for an informal meet, greet & eat in the Hub City. (Yep...it's a Monday evening, but we didn't create the calendar. Blame the Mayans!)
Come spend your Monday evening hanging out with other cachers in the area and enjoy a little Southern Irish hospitality! We have reserved the back room for geocachers from all around. Discuss local cache hides that have been puzzling you, get some tips about our hobby from others who geocache and maybe meet a new caching buddy or two!
There will be a special edition South Carolina "King Tide" commemorative Leap Year "Leap Frog" geocoin available for pre-order purchase and maybe a few left over for event day purchase, as well If interested, contact us via the link above and we'll spill the beans! When: Monday February 29 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Where: Delaney's Irish Pub, 117 W Main St, Spartanburg, SC
Why: To gather, enjoy some Irish grub, maybe even some adult beverages and talk about geocaching, why else?
Who: This event is open to all. Both local and visiting geocachers are always welcome.
As a special bonus, Groundspeak is offering up TWO souvenirs to celebrate Leap Year! The first souvenir can only be earned on Leap Day itself - February 29 - by attending a geocaching event. (And this just happens to be one!) The other souvenir can be earned all weekend long (February 27-29) by getting outside and finding any geocache!
While this event is being held inside a pub/grill, it is not necessary to purchase anything in order to attend. However, should you choose to, please post the number of people in your party with your will attend log so we can help the establishment plan accordingly.
