As I was driving through Newfane the other day, I noticed a lack of non-water caches in the area. I wanted to place one in the heart of the business district, but as I was driving today, I noticed the abundance of vehicles parked at Burt Dam, enjoying fishing on this beautiful 60* December day.I've always enjoyed the water, but do not own any watercraft. I wanted to leave this cache for people in the same situation, and maybe show them a fishing spot they might not have noticed otherwise!
The cache is named for the Dam, and the pricker bushes I encountered while placing the cache (and the wounds I have to show for it)!
Please practice CITO while you are here enjoying the view. The DEC and community are working hard to clean up the creek from years of pollution that had gone unchecked. Helping clean up what may have been left behind by careless people will go a long way to keep this area nice!
You are looking for a camouflaged pill bottle which contains a log and a trackable to move along for the FTF! You may fit small items in for trade, but BYOP!
