As part of my Volunteer ship at Sustainable Cambodia, I have been helping on a little Volunteers side Project.
The TukTukTheatre (http://www.tuktuktheatre.org/)
This is a project developed to engage kids from families in rural Cambodia in an early stage (preschool) and build creativity, imagination, physical coordination and awareness in Hygiene and Sanitation. It's a great fun and requires a huge amount of extra energy, rewarding with an overdose of smiles from happy kids.
If you ever have the chance to pass by Pursat check the current schedule at the website and check with Adrian up front for an option to attend an active afternoon. Otherwise if you pass by the cache on any of the other days, go to the NGOs office and check out the SC Campus.
The cache: is hidden outside the the campus entrance, just at the NGO's Info sign. Be careful about Mugglers, Cambodians can be quite nosy and the sign is located directly at the Highway No. 5.
--Just an an Info the funding Idea-
Funding in Cambodia is concentrated on education and health but often lacks when it comes to fun and games. Children often have to work for their family from a young age and miss out on the fun and games we associate with our own childhood. Tuk Tuk Theatre (TTT) is developed purely to spread smiles and engage the imagination of Cambodian children living in rural villages.
