Rock Guitar Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Decodoppler: Well: came by at the weekend and the cache has definitely dissappeared. Sorry folks, I guess someone needed strings for their Fender and just did not want to play the game.

I will try to make this site a virtual since I think it's an excellent spot.

Thanks to all those who came by.

Steve

Geocache Description:

Cache (RubberMaid clear container with blue rim to lid) is hidden slightly off a decent trail but involves some scrambling on rocks to recover. Altitude here is 157 meters... about three meters higher than the trail itself... clue? Walk from trail entrance to cache and back is less than a couple of kilometers but be prepared for mud and slippery rocks and wooden walkways. Poor GPS coverage in the woods.

** NEW COORDINATES ENTERED ** This cache is located near the longer loop of a trail that's part of the St. Lawrence Islands National Park at Mallorytown Landing. The entrance to the trail is across the Thousand Islands Parkway from the park. The Parkway, by the way, has a paved bike path running along most of its length. On the morning this cache was placed, the park at Mallorytown had been taken over by a large crowd re-enacting life during the war of 1812 complete with two-pounders, red coats, and a two-masted schooner rigged sailing vessel. Impressive.

OK The Cache! The theme is obvious from its contents:

    Short pig-tail,
    string pegs,
pack of Martin acoustic strings (light),
    tuning fork,
    brass slide,
    half-dozen Fender flat picks (medium),
    guitar pin from Sydney Olympics,
    small leather pouch for picks,
    Ratty the Guitar God,
    Climbing Man Travel Bug
The spoiler/hint really is exactly that. I suggest you take it with you and only decript as needed!

Have fun
