This cache may drive you nuts! It is a 5 difficulty for a reason. What you have to do to sign the log is quite obvious... But not so easy! There are no quick tricks... After signing the log you will need to return it to it's "Factory Settings" that is, back to the way you found it to maintain the challenge. That will also be tricky. You will probably need some help from a tool...which one.. Some will have one but some may not... Gray matter may be better than luck.
