Yikes, you got me. Now go to S 26 14.932 E 28 17.399 to find your reward. Or is this a decoy?
This is part of the LG series close to where we stay. There is no physical cache at the location given on the listing. You need to solve the challenge and you need to calculate the exact location of the cache. Our objective was not to snooker the cacher but to learn that most mysteries is actually straight forward. Caches is in public places, no tree climbing required, not in residential gardens.
Some people hate mystery caches, some love them. We hope that we can marry both groups of cachers with this series. Hopefully you will enjoy this series even when you hate all mysteries. This is the first one you need to solve to gain speed.
The motive for this series is two fold. First it is for our pleasure, this one you have to discover for yourself. Secondly, we are trying to introduce you to some mystery techniques used. You are allowed to make reference to this material and/or techniques at any event or gathering without the permission of the cache owner.
The challenge:
Sometimes you will find hidden text in a mystery cache listing. In most cases you will find white letters against a white background. The human eye cannot see it. But if you click on the page at certain locations and you drag your mouse down then this message will be highlighted and the writing will be clear. Sometimes you also need to see a pattern on the page listing. Sometimes certain letters are bold and you will use that to convert it to a different form. So this one is easy. Sometimes even the first word of each letter will be used to form another word. Sometimes even a different font will be used. You have to look for patterns and it is easy to start with the basic checks. In certain cases it is easier to view the source code of the page for any hidden messages or comments that will not be shown on the page. This is done by a right click of the mouse and then select "View Source".
