Geocache Description:

Placed to help celebrate the new leg of the North Central Pathway bike trail opening.  This is the first of several Scouting related geocaches to be placed along this new section of trail.

A Scout Is...many things and Scouts are reminded of that everyday by living the Scout Law and Oath.

Winchendon is a bustling spot for Scouting, the town hosts Cub Scout Pack 193 with over 65 Scouts, Boy Scout Troop 193 with over 20 Scouts and Venture Crew 35, which is fairly new but the Scouts are eager for adventure.  The Girl Scouts are very active in town as well.

On any given Wednesday, Thursday or weekend you can find Scouts going to meetings, learning and demonstrating knots and lashings, hiking, camping and doing many service projects throughout town.  All Scouts are taught to have Scout Spirit, which is a very important aspect of your daily life.  Scouting provides an opportunity for young men and women to learn, grow and of course have adventures!
