This cache has been archived.

medalman11: I was going to remove these in May but did not get round to it until now. It allowed few others to get them. They have had a good five years but time to go.

Geocache Description:

I finally got round to set up a geocaching trail of my own and hope you enjoy. Lodsworth area is lovely. The area to the East already has a great trail from Jacie B. The west is just as good, if not better, so that is what I picked; LW = Lodsworth West. There are 18 usual caches and 1 multi. The theme is news items when I first was planning the trail. The multi is… well you’ll find out! It is not a circular trail but to get them all would be around 6 to 7 miles long, depending on what route you took. The first bit rises to a plateau area with some lovely views and mostly wooded, the latter bits are a track, road and footpath with mostly fields. Please no night time visits, there are sensitive householders along the trail. There are some footpaths sections, so no mountain bikes must be ridden on these. Have fun and enjoy the views and the trail. Please try your best to put the caches back as intended and let me know any maintenance trips needed.

LW6: Jubilant Rooney! (Martyn)

30th August 2015

The Team GB men’s 4 x 400 meters team took a well-deserved bronze medal in the 2015 Athletic World Championships in Beijing. Men’s GB captain -  Martyn Rooney - ran a stunning last leg to just pip the tiring Jamaican runner into forth.  He was motivated by earlier becoming a father for the first time.
