We first got to know some of the local folk through an unfortunate series of events--in October of 2012, we learned that lilgeodave had ALL leukemia, and he was life-flighted with his mom to Sacred Heart from our home in Helena, MT. We were fortunate in quickly getting a room at the local RMH, where this event is being held. We were at the RMH for 8 months, and it still feels like home to us. David will ring the bell at Sacred Heart earlier in the day, signifying the end of his long chemotherapy and treatment. While we have been home and traveling to Spokane monthly for regular appointments for two and a half years, we have created some continuing, close relationships with local cachers and the RMH which mean a lot to us. Some of the locals are going to host a dinner at the RMH for residents, geocachers, and others coming to help us celebrate. Regardless of whether or not you know us, please come and celebrate this end and new beginning, and the hope for recovery for us and all the residents. There will be a full meal, with a celebratory cake. You may stay to help clean up, if you wish. Please park on the street or a nearby lot; the lot for the residents is barely adequate, and some of the residents have mobility issues. There is a lot on the corner of Lincoln and 5th, and another lot above the house on Bishop, as well as street parking. Hope to see you there!
