This cache and dash is located in an area called the "buffer", a hundred foot strip at the edge of the Chesapeake Bay. The buffer lies at the edge of the "critical zone", which is 1,000 feet bordering the entire Chesapeake Bay. For reference, 1,000 feet is approximately 3 city blocks. The buffer is an important area, as it functions to remove sediment, nutrients, and toxic substances from the groundwater and surface water entering the Bay.
This was originally going to be on the sign by the water's edge. But that sign is not magnetic. It has been moved nearby within sight of the sign. The cache is relatively easy. You can retrieve it while sitting. Which you might want to do because the muggle factor here can be pretty high. I placed this on a cold day and there were still muggles around. During the summer this could be really tough. For more information on both the buffer and critical zone, check out the signpost that explains how Baltimore is helping, located at the water's edge.
