Geocache Description:

This walk takes you to England Creek Falls. You will be travelling in some seriously steep terrain, hardly visible paths, often with no path at all, and through some challenging obstacles. Care should be taken over slippery rocks in the gorges, creek crossings and waterfalls. The circuit may take over 8 hours to complete.

A high degree of fitness, scrambling skills and map reading ability are a must. It is strongly recommended not to try this cache alone or at night.

Leaving from Lawnton road you will need to follow the trails to the peak of Northbrook Mountain. From there you will head back and down over 400 metres descent toward England Creek Falls. You will then follow the creek bed until eventually you must climb back out of the valley towards your starting point (if you chose the right spur!). As you walk these trails you will need to answer some questions about things you pass on the way to make the final find.

SURVEY MARKER WAYPOINT (2 Questions)

At the Survey Marker Waypoint  find the Brass Plated Survey Marker (picture attached) embeded in concrete at this waypoint.

Stand on top of the survey marker and look North West and look for a man made object 3 meters away.

1) A signpost with '660m' on it

2) The base of an old Trig Point marker

3) The remains of a wooden fence

4) A hook set in concrete

5) A metal pole

6) A  metal tag hanging in the tree

7) A phone tower

Starting from the same survey marker go 5 meters North East and look for another man made object.

1) A square

2) A Circle

3) A Triangle in a Circle

4) A Square in a circle

5) A Triangle

6) A Triangle in a square

CLUSTER WAYPOINT

At the Cluster Waypoint you will see a distinct and stand alone cluster of Boulder(s), Tree trunk(s) and Stump(s) that are all touching each other.

Determine the number of Rocks (C) Trees (D)and Stumps(E) (F=C+D+E)

MONOLITH WAYPOINT

Look for the single large stone monolith at Monolith Waypoint. Which of the following best describes its height (G), width(H) and length(J).

1) 1mH x 8mW x 10mL

2) 5mH x 5mW x 5mL

3) 20mH x 5mW x 5mL

4) 15mH x 2mW x 10mL

5) 20mH x 20mW x 20mL

You now have all the information you need to find the final - BUT NOT OPEN IT!!! You must venture down to the falls, up the creek and uphill back to the car via the Forestry Marker waypoint to gather information required to unlock the cache. At the Forestry Marker waypoint you are looking for a tag with a name and some numbers on it in the following format: ?????? PQRS/S. PQRS is the number to unlock the cache container. From this waypoint follow a good footpad up a nasty hill. There is some tape visible along the track at regular intervals most of the way to a good track that leads to your car, but you simply need to follow the spur all the way. Roughly about one to two hours for this last section depending on how tired you are!

The Final Coordinates for the cache can be determined with the following calculations:

Z=BxDxFxH

South coordinates are S27 19.( (Z x 5) -1134)

Y = AxCxExGxJ

East coordinates are E152 44.((Y x 15) -10373)

Enjoy the walk!

Bring plenty of water (and/or purifying tablets)
