Getting connected has many meanings. You can be connected to your family, your friends or your organizations. It can also mean a time an place for a scheduled event. For this hide, getting Connected means getting connected to ELECTRICITY. You will have to connect yourself to electricity in order to "See the Lights". Geocaching has always involved electricity. The satellites in space and our GPS's use electricity. We use flashlights for night caches and they use electricity. I have used electricity in my hides to ring a doorbell, or to move a container from it's hiding place. So be prepared to get connected and have electricity run through your body !
This cache is located near the river behind Olde Mill Park. After a rain it can be a bit muddy so keep that in mind. The easiest way to get to the cache is to park at the playground parking lot, walk across the field, follow the path down the slope past GC50JYQ Beaver Feaber and down to a path that runs along the river. If you go this way you will not have to cross a big gully two times.
This geocache contains a small container for trade items and a 35 mm film container with the log. Once you arrive at GZ the cache will be obvious.
Now the fun part begins. This cache kind of looks like a bird house but with lots of metal screws, hooks bolts etc. sticking out of the two sides. If you decide you would like to have electricity run through your body you can now enjoy the experience. The object is for you to make the "Connection" between a positive and a negative which will in turn let you see the lights. Your body will complete the electrical circuit needed to do just that. You can make this connection by squeezing the correct two metal objects at the same time, using one hand on the left side and one on the right. It may take a few minutes to make the proper "Connection" but when you do, believe me, you will know it. At that moment look into the peep hole and you will "See the Lights". If you are caching with a close friend you can also hold hands and each of you squeeze a metal object with your remaining hand. When you make the proper "Connection:" the electricity will go through both of you. You can even try it with three or four brave geocachers.

To open the container you will need the pass code for the lock. This will be a combination of five numbers and letters. The pass code is determined by the color of the lights. The first three numbers of the pass code are 000. The last two letters of the pass code are the first two letters of the center color. (Example..green would be GR, yellow would be YE) got it? The numbers and letters should be in a line with the word Master on the left of the lock. After signing the log and making your trades please put everything back as found and reset the lock by holding it closed and turning the dials a couple of times.
Happy Caching!
