Geocache Description:

Those of uou with a knowlege of Urse will realise from the name of this cache that it is on an island. So get out your O/S Discovery series sheet 44 and plan your approach.

This cache was origionly called Cockles and is on the Ballyconneeley peninsula. Coming from Clifden turn right after Keoghs Pub and after a mile or so take the next right and keep on until the end of the road. Park the car and carry on West by foot until you have an enclosed area of sand on your right - Now follow your GPS.

This can only be done at low tide, even then the water is about 2.5 feet deep.

Take care watch those tides.

The cache itself is hidden in a wall which must be searched from the northern side. Removing rocks from the South side will only wreck the wall. Please try not to do any damage.

Lots of goodies in the cache including a nifty penknife taken from the Hollyhead Mountain Cache. Its in a beautiful area with wonferful views of the Twelve Pins. Enjoy.
