Let's celebrate that I am on a lake in sunny Florida instead of shoveling snow off my driveway in Minnesota!
Let's celebrate a certain small geocacher who will turn 4 in a few more days (oh yes...geoMiss-M is turning 4)!
Let's celebrate...Florida Style! And No...I don't mean by celebrating in a Palm tree...I mean on the water!
I attended a "Floatilla" once in Minnesota during the summer. I loved the idea. There were about 50 flotation devices that showed up...from boats with motors to someone in a paddle boat and lots of kayaks and canoes as well.
Time: 10:00 AM-10:30 AM
Place: Lettuce Lake Park (or more specifically...in the Middle of Lettuce Lake)
Cost: There is an entrance fee to get into the park. It used to be $2.00
Canoe/kayak rentals are avaialble at the entrance.
There are plenty of caches in the park, including 2 on the water! For those of you that want to continue the adventure after the event.
Because of the rather large Florida native that lives here...11 feet at the last count...a boat of some sort is not only recommended but required!
