Geocache Description:


This area on the Big Blue River provides fabulous fishing opportunities. Be sure to bring your pole and a camera and check out the submerged dam.

Kansas Power and Light donated the Rocky Ford Fishing Area to the Department of Wildlife and Parks in 1967. Before the settlers came Native Americans used this site as a river crossing. The flat rock bottom made the crossing safe under normal conditions.


Before claiming this cache you must post a picture of the dam with your gps unit in the picture (no Photoshop jobs).

This virtual cache is placed with the understanding that we will give way in the event that an approvable physical cache is placed within .01 mile.
