Although the direct route to the cache is only a short stroll across easy country from the hitching rails, take the extra time to go via the historic walk instead. It is not much further, and signs along the way explain the fascinating story of the early industry that once operated here. Only a short distance further on is another viewing area overlooking a much more recent construction. The cache is within sight of the older structure and, we hope, hidden well enough to protect it from casual observation. It is clear of the historical sites but also close to the path, so you may need to be wary in your retrieval and replacement if other visitors are nearby. Please ensure container o-ring is in place before you re-hide it, and tighten the lid without distorting the seal. Please also ensure it isn't visible, and the camo looks as natural as possible, before you leave.
After you have seen enough of this site, you should to check out the waterfall just a few minutes ride away at S37 39.347 E144 02.248, particularly after recent rain.
