This cache is located at the East Charlemont Boat Launch on the Deerfield River off Rte 2 Open 6:00 AM - 9:30 PM You are looking for a camoed plastic Lock & Lock container with room for a Log, Pen & Trade Items. The cache is far enough away from the water to make it kid friendly. Please do be safe if you choose to go near the river and be aware the water levels do change suddenly. Look out for THORNS! It is suggested you wear long sleeves & pants when out ISO this cache.
Please Beware of Briars in area of cache. There are no signs on road indicating Launch Area. Coordinates for entrance are N 042 37.315 W 072 45.392
Back in the early 1990's I took private Kayaking lessons through Zoar Outdoor here on the Deerfield to learn how to roll my White Water Kayak. I rolled my boat over and over hundreds of times perfecting my roll. Unfortunately I was never able to apply this technique when required and had to wet exit.
