Geocache Description:

Greetings and welcome to the first geocaches placed in the Tuam area

I looked at the map of my local area and noticed that Tuam is pretty sparse of geocaches. It may not the most exciting place in the country, but Tuam does have a few spots worth a visit, so why not stick a few geocaches in to spice things up a little. The series comprises of 7 micro & mostly magnetic caches at different landmarks in the town

They are micro so BRING YOUR OWN PEN.

The title of this series comes from a line in The Saw Doctors song called Villains. The lyrics are: "At the Pass machine beside the bank, it says 'Minks are kinky' - draw some tank", referring to “Minks are kinky” being written in permanent marker on the stone around the old Bank of Ireland ATM.

Hi-Way Services

Hi-Way Services was a long established family run business. It was founded in 1970 by the Cunniffe Brothers; John, Tom and Vincent. Hi-Way were appointed Main Ford Dealers in 1976. It was a main landmark out the Dublin Rd, but it unfortunatly it closed its doors in 2012.
