Geocache Description:

Greetings and welcome to the first geocaches placed in the Tuam area.

I looked at the map of my local area and noticed that Tuam is pretty sparse of geocaches. It may not the most exciting place in the country, but Tuam does have a few spots worth a visit, so why not stick a few geocaches in to spice things up a little. The series comprises of 7 micro & mostly magnetic caches at different landmarks in the town.

They are micro so BRING YOUR OWN PEN.

The title of this series comes from a line in The Saw Doctors song called Villains. The lyrics are: "At the Pass machine beside the bank, it says 'Minks are kinky' - draw some tank", referring to “Minks are kinky” being written in permanent marker on the stone around the old Bank of Ireland ATM.

Tuam Graveyard

The gateway to Tuam Cemetery is a very good example of late nineteenth-century Gothic Revival work and presents the consummate skills of stone carvers and metalworkers of the era. Within the graveyard there is a detached limestone-built gate lodge to, dated 1881. This very ornamental building encompasses many Gothic Revival features, and is an important part of the late nineteenth-century architectural heritage of the town.

This geocache is not hard to find, please do not damage the wall in any way.
