The Nottingham Express Transit system, you either love it or hate it.
One thing is for sure, it is now the springboard for the next chapter in the SideTracked series and will hopefully provide a distraction for those doing the daily commute or just enjoying a day travelling around the extended network.
As you are at the interchange why not take a break and have a wander around Beeston and maybe grab a coffee or a spot of shopping before carrying on your journey. Beeston has plenty of Coffee shops and due to the new Tram network it is undergoing major changes which will hopefully lead to a nicer sight for visitors rather than the barren waste land that is next to the Interchange at the moment.
While having a coffee you can also work out the coordinates to get you to the final location before you head back to the interchange to continue your journey.
To get the final location you will need to gather information from the Interchange and two further locations before a short walk to the final location. Numbers should be kept as they are not altered before doing the sums as some have done and ended up in some strange locations!!
Location A - The Interchange
A = Number of Bus stops plus Tram stops?
B = Number of the NCT Orange route between Chilwell and Nottingham?
C = TrentBarton Route Number between Stapleford and Nottingham via Beeston Rylands (Monday-Saturday)?
D = YourBus Route Number between Derby/LongEaton and Nottingham Y?
Location B - The Bandstand
E = Number of Planters(not levels) + Number of Benches?
F = Number on end of greenbox facing the store with its name in white on a red background?
Location C - The Stamp Outlet
G = Number of slots in post box?
H = Number of Disabled parking bays outside The Stamp Outlet/Watering hole?
Location D - Well that is up to you. Do you want a coffee, something a little stronger or maybe a bite to eat? Maybe you just want to rest for a while to do the maths in which case just park your bum on a bench and work out the following to reach the final location
N 52 D (G+H) . (B/C+G) F (C/G)
W 001 (F-A) H . (E-D) (B/F) (A/G)
