This is another fine view of Maumee Bay & Lake Erie. An excellent concrete "boardwalk" was added recently to pay homage to former Oregon Mayor James A. Haley.
Cache is not far from parking on the lake side, but you will be venturing into the rocks and under the trees for this one, watch your step.
Beware of NorthEast winds on this one, you may get wet from overspray. Until the Corp of Engineers built this breakwall some years ago there was an apple orchard and cow pastures to the north when, you guessed it, the South Shore Washed Out. (Us North Oregonians are very creative!)
