This cache is one of several placed around Lake Shenandoah to help create a geocache trail of sorts around the lake area. This area is popular with walkers, fishermen (and women), and bird-watchers. About 75% of the trail is flat and paved with crushed rock--the entire west, north, and east shores. The 25% along the south shore is wooded with significant undulation, exposed rock, and exposed roots.
