Bishop's Court construction began on 9th January 1851 and was built for the Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Adelaide.
Bishop's Court is bounded by Palmer Place and Ward Street North Adelaide. The property immediately to the south is Christchurch Anglican Church and separated by Christchurch Lane. The Anglican Church is currently considering selling this property and if it were to sell is expected to fetch a record sale price in Adelaide, exceeding a Glenelg property sold in 2010 for $6.5 million. If the sale goes ahead a more modest dwelling for the Archbishop could be built on the north west corner which is on Ward street.
