GCE West End Cachers - New Year, New Start Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoGuider: Everyone logged the January GCE West End Cachers event very quickly this month... so it’s time to wrap things up for another month and then get the February event listing published. Thanks to everyone for coming out. It is great to see so many people month after month, even if I was banished to the end of the table by myself because of my cold. No hard feelings…. honest! Glad you could all come!

Geocache Description:

GCE West End Cachers' Meet and Greet - New Year, New Start Edition

So the story is that I was going to host an event for New Year's Eve. So where is it you say? I thought of calling this the Mea Culpa edition. I made 117 gingerbread houses with the kids at school on Monday night, then had stage prep and costumes to do for the Christmas Concert on Thursday, and the kids took home the 26 Yule logs they made with me throughout December on Thursday night after the concert so their parents could carry them home safely. I went home on Thursday night and collapsed. Friday morning, I awoke thinking, "Now what! Oh, the event!" But it was too late, the deadline was Thursday. My bad. So I changed the reservation from New Year's Eve to the first Monday.

This is one of the periodic meetings of the Greater Edmonton Area geocaching community - this time in West Edmonton.  Everyone is invited: Edmonton cachers, Leduc cachers, St. Albert cachers, Sherwood Park cachers, Fort Saskatchewan cachers, Spruce Grove Cachers, Stony Plain Cachers, and cachers from anywhere visiting the Greater Edmonton Area. This is a great opportunity to meet with other cachers to talk about geocaching. Bring along your travel bugs and geocoins.

We encourage you to visit the GeoCachingEdmonton.com community web site and check out the GCE forums, which are a great source of local, regional and general geocaching information. They're also a great place to just hang out and chat.
