Rosaro
Rosaro è una frazione del comune di Grezzana, in provincia di Verona, situata nella Valpantena orientale, a 588 metri sul livello del mare, e dista circa 10 km da Grezzana e 18 km da Verona. Per la vista scenografica che si apre da Rosaro sulla Valpantena, il paese è noto con il nome di "balcone della Valpantena".
Storia
Il borgo di Rosaro è ricordato per la prima volta in un documento del 2 agosto 832 e deve il proprio nome alla presenza in tutto il suo territorio di numerosi cespugli di rose (come nella vicina località I Rosari, a sud-est del paese). Piccolo villaggio per tutto il medioevo, fu a partire dal XVI secolo che Rosaro conobbe una certa vivacità, quando venne costruita la cappella di San Pietro (1589) per volere dei conti Orti Manara, i quali erano proprietari di queste terre. Nel secolo successivo, il borgo fu duramente colpito dalla violenta peste del 1630, rendendolo disabitato: da questo evento nacque la leggenda di donna Rosa, unica sopravvissuta del paese che si prodigò per farlo rinascere; sempre secondo la leggenda, che pur confermata tale è ancora oggi nota dai locali, fu proprio in onore di questa donna che il borgo prese il nome di Rosaro. La frazione conobbe un particolare incremento demografico a partire dal XVIII secolo, tanto che oggi conta una seppur modesta area urbana che si sviluppa intorno al nucleo centrale.
Architetture religiose
La chiesa parrocchiale di Rosaro è dedicata a san Barnaba apostolo. Inizialmente cappella privata dei conti Orti Manara, edificata nel 1589 e dedicata a san Pietro, fu trasformato in oratorio nel 1779 per opera dei locali fratelli Spinelli, ai quali era passato in proprietà nel 1736. La chiesa assunse l'attuale aspetto negli anni tra il 1909 e il 1912, e fu eretta in parrocchia autonoma nel 1924. Nel 1945 è stato realizzato il campanile. Si presenta in stile neoclassico, ad aula rettangolare con due cappelle ai lati e con facciata a capanna. All'interno si segnala l'affresco sulla parete absidale realizzato da Aristide Bolla del Sacro Cuore di Gesù tra i santi (1921).
La parrocchia di Rosaro si estende su un territorio che conta 478 abitanti.
Geografia antropica
L'abitato si sviluppa lungo la strada provinciale 6 dei Lessini ed è diviso da quest'ultima in due zone: la zona dove si trova la chiesa parrocchiale e dove abita la maggior parte della popolazione e la località Busoni che si collega direttamente a Grezzana tramite una strada secondaria. Il paese collega il comune di Grezzana con il comune di Cerro Veronese (frazione Praole).
Rosaro è composto da cinque contrade principali: Busoni, Lavelletti, Lavello, Macchielli, Miravalle.

History
The village of Rosaro is remembered for the first time in a document dated August 2 832 and owes its name to the presence in the territory of numerous rose bushes (as in the nearby resort The Rosaries, south-east of the country). Small village during the Middle Ages, it was in the sixteenth century that Rosaro experienced a certain liveliness, when it was built the chapel of St. Peter (1589) at the behest of the accounts Orti Manara, who were owners of these lands. In the following century, the town was hard hit by the violent plague of 1630, making it deserted: this event was born the legend of Donna Rosa, the only survivor of the country that he did his utmost to bring about its rebirth; according to the legend, it confirmed that while this is still known by the locals, it was in honor of this woman who the village was named Rosaro. The village experienced a particular population increase since the eighteenth century, so much so that even today has a modest urban area that is spread around the central core.
Religious Architecture
The parish church of Rosaro is dedicated to St. Barnabas Apostle. Initially private chapel of accounts Orti Manara, built in 1589 and dedicated to St. Peter, was transformed into a chapel in 1779 through the work of local brothers Spinelli, who had passed in property in 1736. The church acquired its present appearance in the years between 1909 and 1912, and was erected in independent parish in 1924. In 1945 the bell tower was built. It comes in a neoclassical style, rectangular room with two chapels on the sides and façade. Inside there is the fresco on the apse wall built by Aristide Bull of the Sacred Heart of Jesus among the Saints (1921).

The town developed along the road 6 Lessini and is divided by the latter into two areas: the area where the parish church and where he lives most of the population and the location Busoni that connects directly through a Grezzana a side street.
