This should be an easy find but please be aware that during some times of the year you will see hunters. My dog is a fox red Labrador Retriever and she could be mistaken for a deer. Orange vests and a noisy owner certainly help but it is best to avoid these spots when it is hunting season.
I love to take my dog, Nell, out in recreation areas to run and have fun jumping in and out of creeks. We laugh as we see her antics and wonder what is going through her mind as she races up the trail and back, always keeping an eye out for where we are, as if it is her responsibility to keep us safe.
Years ago we found another geocache in these woods. The geocache could be seen high in a tree and we had to find a stick long enough to reach it. Getting it back to where we removed it was extremely difficult and we finally placed it at a lower level. Walking back to the car we realized that we had lost our leash. After spending a lot of time retracing our steps we gave up and went home.
Our log described our difficulties with the container and the lost leash. The owner went out to look at it and reported back that he had never placed it high in the tree - a previous geocacher must have done that - and that he had found the leash.
This will be easy. There is no tree to climb and it is a short distance from a parking lot.
