Geocache Description:

"THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES"

"LAKE SUPERIOR LIGHTHOUSE"

This light house was completed in 1883. It is a lighthouse located on a reef that was the most serious hazard to navigation on Lake Superior. The exposed crib of the light is rated as one of the top ten engineering feats in the United States. It was one of the "stag stations", manned only by men, and had the nickname "The Loneliest Place in the World".

So what does this Lighthouse have to do with the Phantom Island puzzle? This is where the puzzle begins. Somewhere off in the distance there is a phantom island. If you search for it from the top of the lighthouse the phantom island can not been seen. The island can only be seen when you are within 50 meters of it. If you were there you might use a boat or a airplane to find it's location. Since you are not then you will have to find another way. Once you have found it, then look for a small sign with the coordinates to the cache hide on it.

Now use this information and the checker below to find the Phantom Island.
