I have passed this site often on the way between my temporary 'just arrived from abroad' furnished lodgings and the nearest shops. It has been shouting at me 'Give me a cache! Give me a cache! Give me a cache!'.
It has also intrigued me. Why Tintin in Kaapstad? Why not Kuifje in Kaapstad or Tintin in Cape Town? Maybe one of the finders can explain this to me.
It is a quiet one-way street so you can park just about at the cache site for a quick park-n-grab. For a nice half-day outing park at Rhodes' memorial or at the shopping centres along Main and combine it with some of the other caches near here. You can have a bite and a drink either at Rhodes' memorial or at the shopping centres. The most pleasant might be to park at one of the shopping centres, hike up and have a break at Rhodes' memorial. However parking at the memorial is as yet free, whereas at the shopping centres you pay a small fee.
