Wellington Square Traditional Cache

Camouflaged tube in one of Cheltenham's lesser known public green spaces. The park is accessible most of the time but there is a small possibility it may be padlocked at night.

Wellington Square was built gradually between 1831 and 1859, and as well as its many fine houses it once had a botanic garden in its south-west corner (now long gone, and no trace of it remains). The small square park in the centre was originally a communal garden for the residents, but like many other such gardens in Cheltenham it has come into public ownership. If you have a spare moment, do look at the carvings on the houses on the western side of the street – they are amazing.
