Geocache Description:

Even the smallest of places deserve their very own cache!

This is another hide in the series of caches at smaller villages and settlements around Piteå.

Thanks to hel-osk's note(well worth a read) below, I've found several books by Rune Bergman, which contains a brief history about the first settlers at the smaller places and around Piteå..

It's believed the name "Strömås" was constructed by the government in the mid 1800's. The first settlers here were Nils Vilhelm and Margareta Lovisa Blomkvist.

The Strömås homestead was originally built from wood which came from a small sawmill at Keupan. The homestead was originally built by Ferdinand Johansson (Source: Byarna och torpen ovanför Lillpite by Rune Bergman)
