In view of Pedro Menendez' landing spot 450 years ago, enjoy your walk down Pine St, which is in the Abbott Tract-St. Augustine's oldest neighborhood. Follow the fence line to where it becomes one with the tree. Look down through history, to a time that is just a shell of it's former reality. You do not have to enter the mission grounds.
