Geocache Description:

Waller Mill was one a many small, family-owned mills on the Peninsula that ground corn and wheat. Millers would charge a "tithe" of 10% of the ground cornmeal or flour as compensation for grinding the grain.

You can see one of the mill stones on display which was used to grind corn here at Waller's Mill. The mill stone was found at the bottom of the reservoir when the dam broke in 1963 due to heavy rains.

The Waller Mill Park Bike Trail is a two mile multiuse asphalt path connecting Rochambeau Drive and Mooretown Road. Additional park information is available in the "Related Web Page" link. A big thank you to the City of Williamsburg for allowing us to geocache along this wonderfully maintained trail.
