Vi trovate adesso nei pressi del faro di Baratti quasi a picco sulla Punta delle Pianacce. Il cache è nascosto sotto il sentiero, in un buco. Per raggiungere GZ siate prudenti!!
You are now at the lighthouse of Baratti, built on a cliff dominating Punta delle Pianacce. The cache is hidden in a hole below the path at a 10 meter distance from the lighthouse. Be careful when trying to reach GZ
IL FARO DI BARATTI
Il faro di Baratti è un faro marittimo del Mar Ligure sito sull'estremità settentrionale del promontorio di Piombino, in posizione dominante rispetto al porto di Baratti.
Il faro fu attivato dalla Regia Marina agli inizi del Novecento per l'illuminazione del tratto nord-occidentale del promontorio di Piombino
Ad alimentazione elettrica e a luce ritmica, è dotato di una lampada LABI da 100W che emette un lampo bianco ogni 5 secondi della portata di 9 miglia nautiche.
Il complesso è costituito da un edificio turriforme a pianta quadrangolare con pareti esterne in muratura bianca e merlatura sommitale che delimita la terrazza dove è collocato il fanale metallico.

BARATTI'S LIGHTHOUSE
The lighthouse of Baratti is located on the very end of the northern part of the Promontory of Piombino dominating the Ligurian Sea and the little harbour of Baratti.
The lighthouse was established by the Italian Royal Navy at the beginning of the 19th century to secure navigation along the north-west sector the Promontory of Piombino.
Powered by electricity, it is equipped with a 100W LABI bulb emitting a shaft of light every 5 seconds, reaching a maximum distance of 9 nautical miles. The structure is a tower-like building with quadrangular base and white painted external walls.
The light is installed on the crenellated roof.
