Geocache Description:

NOTE: (TOTT) May need tool to get paper out. (BYOP) Bring Your Own Pen.

My great grandfather, Gerard 'Charley' Peters, was involved in the founding of the bank, back in 1906.  His early death in 1911 took the family down a notch or two on the economic scale.  Rent from a store front down Main St helped support the family.  That building was the first in town to electric lighting - a single bulb on a long, carried from room to room!

The orginal bank is the imposing structure on the corner of Main and Deport streets. Now known as BLC Bank of Little Chute, it remains one of the few independent banks in the area.
