Only Connect #35 Guest Edition Mystery Cache

Having been given the idea for a little puzzle while walking near here and been given permission to add it to this excellent series here it is. You will doubtless be please to know the cache is snugly tucked away on dry land and you won't need to go sailing to find it.

A certain day brought together:

A. Our head of state at the time;

B. A constellation prominent when this cache was set;

C. A nickname of a general celebrated throughout England in drink;

D. An admiral remembered in a children's adventure classic;

E. A wonder that went fishing;

F. A town forbidden by statute to thatch.

The cache is hidden at N 54 52.X W 001 58.Y

X = 2*(A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H)+10 where A to F are the alphabetical numbers (A=1,Z=26) of the first letter of each member of the group and G and H are those numbers for the first and last letters of the connecting word.

Y = 3X-85
