Geocache Description:

The Encounter Lake was developed in the late 1980's when the Victor Harbor Council planned the creation of an inland lake for recreational activities and for almost 500 houses.

There are 12 landscaped public reserves, each of which has been named after past Mayors of the then District Council of Victor Harbor and 6 public beach areas. Four of these beaches are accessible only from the waterway. The cache is hidden in one of these reserves, the Allenby Parsons reserve.

On a warm summers day you will find people swimming, kayaking, stand-up-paddle boarding and relaxing around this waterway. It has been a favourite place for our family for many years as my father-in-law lives nearby. Enjoy the views of the lake, and if its warm then have a swim, otherwise if its cold enjoy a hot cuppa at the nearby Boulevard Cafe.

You will find a small Systema container with a pencil and notebook, big enough only for small swaps, well hidden. No need to walk across the gardens, but you may have to take 1 step off the path to get this one if you have short arms. Please replace the camo to keep it well hidden.
