Geocache Description:

Welcome to the corner of happy and healthy. This should be an easy find. The geocache is a small pill bottle with a Geocaching sticker with a log and room for tiny treasures. This area has high muggle activity so please use your stealth to keep this one safe.

The former house here was called the Mullis-Howard House. It was built in 1910 by John H. Mullis. Known as "Big John", he was the chairman of the building committee when the First Baptist Church was built directly across the street. The front door of his home was in perfect alignment with the Good Samaritan window of the church. When he walked out the front door of his home, he looked directly into the church window and similarly when he stood in front of the window on the church porch, it looked directly into the glass front door of his home. He hoped that on the equinox days in March and September the sun would rise in the glass door of his home and set in the Good Samaritan window of the church given in memory of his parents, William Jacob Mullis and Elizabeth Horne Mullis. The home later served as the home of the Anderson Lee Howard family. It was demolished in 2008 to make room for this corner pharmacy. Be sure to view the images of the former house. ***Congratulations to Layzacresminis on FTF!*** 8/24/16 Update: The corner pharmacy has now been permanently closed. The geoache is still available in same location. 11/01/21 Update: Dollar store has now opened up in this location. Cache is still available, but more stealth may be required.
