One might think that the Huntley Corners Cemetery is just your average, small, rural, central NY, burial ground. However, there is an impressive connection to Hollywood. Buried in the cemetery is one Thomas Geer (1859-1929), who is a third cousin (on his father’s side) to Will Geer, none other than Grandpa on “The Waltons.” (But wait, it gets better!) Will Geer was in a movie called “The Blue Bird” (1976) which also starred Academy Award winner, (Not for “The Bluebird”), Jane Fonda. Jane Fonda starred in “The China Syndrome” (1979) with acclaimed actor, Michael Douglas. Michael Douglas starred in the forgettable movie, “The Game” (1997) with two time Oscar winner, Sean Penn. (I think both actors would like to forget that one!) And finally, Sean Penn starred in the tragedy, thriller, murder mystery, “Mystic River” (2003) with, you guessed it, Xriva Onpba!
