Geocache Description:


There are 254 counties in Texas. Only the most dedicated (maybe crazy, leaning toward insane) geocachers have visited them all and found a cache in each of them. GCRX6F - Texas County Challenge is their prize. This cache is being placed to give those in search of the counties a place to stop and stretch their legs from the road. This may be your first Texas county cache, one along the way to somewhere else or that place where you can celebrate your last Texas county find. The cache has custom camo to celebrate crossing the lines of the 254 Texas counties. We hope you enjoy.

This cache is placed in Coleman Park in Sulphur Springs, TX (Hopkins County). The park has several sporting fields, trails, pavilions, a lake and the all important restroom if you've been on the road for a while. Please follow all park rules. Currently the park gates close at 12 Midnight and reopen at 6AM.

This cache is placed in a natural area. Expect that you will encounter things that slither, bite, poke and result in days of itching, prepare accordingly. Depending on the time of year your hike to GZ will be more difficult than others. If there has been recent rain, you may have to wade through some water as well. Please be safe and hunt this cache at your own risk.

There are two trackable items in the cache, one for FTF and one for STF. As always the one requirement to log the find is that you sign the logbook. I hope you enjoy the cache camo. Please re-hide as found to keep it safe. The cache was covered with natural camo when it was hid and tethered to keep it place. You may take many different paths to reach this GZ. The length of your hike may be determined by the amount of DNA your wish to leave behind. You will not need to cross any fences to reach this cache.
