***Please note, the start of this track is at the parking coords, not from the gates.*** This is a relatively new track and part of the Te Araroa trail, from Cape Reinga at the northern tip of NZ to Bluff at the southern tip. It is signposted as 6.5 km and 3 hours one way. Start at the parking coords. If you start from the road you'll be met with big gates.
Unfortunately I only got this far today! I'd planned to go further but when I saw the steep ascent at this point, with no tree cover, I decided to abandon my expedition and come back on a less scorching hot day. I laid down a cache though in honour of my laziness.
Would love to hear what people think of the rest of the track! Perhaps you'll place more caches along it to lure me up that hill.
Cache here is a camoed tube with a couple of small swaps and space for small trackables. Please bring your own pen.
