Geocache Description:

At the very end of 2015, a literally huge art project (30m x 30m) was undertaken by world renowned artist Guido Van Helten

The silos were initially built in 1938, before the 2nd World War. They were decommissioned in 2012, as it was no longer seen as feasible for the Grain Corp to maintain them.  Forcing the farmers to bear the bigger cost of transporting the grain to larger regional centers.

The Brim Active Community Group came up with a way to put Brim on the map and to bring people to the town. With a successful grant application from Regional Arts Victoria and the remaining funds raised by the Community Group, the art project took form capturing figures, people and the identity of Brim. Guido undertook an initial photography project upon his arrival. The four figures are based on locals, but are not a direct replica. You are searching for a 500ml screw top container. Enjoy your time in Brim. Tag your images with #BrimSiloArt :)
