Najmanj raziskovano je področje severno od reke Drave na meji z Avstrijo. To področje se imenuje Kozjak. Več kot 80% ga pokriva gozd in se razteza do višine 1000m. Je izrazito hribovito področje s strmimi pobočji in je zaradi težje dostopnosti bilo zelo zanimivo že iz prazgodovine. Tukaj najdemo prvo najdbo kamnite sekire, prve samostojne občine že pred 100 leti, neodkrite partizanske bolnišnice in danes kraje, kjer se prebuja turizem, ki ponuja košček neokrnjene narave s pristno domačo dobrodošlico. OŽBALT je kraj ob reki Dravi, kjer je potekala rimska cesta. Kot kraj se prvič omenja v drugi polovici 13. stoletja, ko se je razvilo dravsko splavarstvo. Leta 1372 je prvič omenjena cerkev sv. Ožbalta (St. Oswald).
Danes je Ožbalt obcestno naselje z malo več kot 500 prebivalci na nadmorski višini 306 metrov. Ima vrtec, pošto, cerkev, gostilno, trgovino, gasilski dom (Prostovoljno gasilsko društvo Ožbalt), nogometno igrišče (ŠD Ožbalt). Njegova zanimivost je muzej dravskega splavarstva, ki se nahaja v kraju Javnik pri gostišču Šarman.

The most secret is the area north of the Drava River on the border with Austria. This area is called Kozjak. More than 80% is covered by forest and stretches to a height of 1000m. It is highly mountainous area with steep slopes and because of limited accessibility was very interesting from prehistoric times. OŽBALT is the small town along the Drava River, where in the history was also found the Roman road. The place was first mentioned in the second half of the 13th century, when it developed the Drava rafting. In the year 1372 was the first note of the church of St. Ožbolt (St. Oswald).
Today is Ožbalt village with little more than 500 inhabitants at an altitude of 306 meters.
