This cache was placed at dawn on the last day of 2015. This location was chosen because you get a grand view of the sunrise from here (and also the sunset if you wait around for long enough, because it's so flat). A New Year traditionally means making resolutions, but this cache is all about looking on the sunny side. Tomorrow is the beginning of 2016 and 366 new days — a new start, bringing sunshine, laughter, excitement and friendship, walks in the countryside, puzzles to solve and new people to meet. Life is good.
After you find this cache, please take one of the "sunshine" tokens from inside; whichever one takes your fancy. You do not need to trade for these items. Pin it to your noticeboard, stick it to your computer monitor at work, let it remind you of Good Times. In return, please write something positive in your log — even if it's just to say that your favourite football team won yesterday, or that last night's lamb jalfrezi was particularly fine. I look forward to feeling the positive vibes...
GZ is located just over a kilometer from Scarrington and slightly further from Bingham. It's easy to get to from either end using the clearly-marked (flat) footpaths, but it's not really suitable for buggies due to the mud. Perhaps combine it with some other local caches to make a nice circular walk; but most of all — have fun!
And if anyone else is brave enough to attempt a dawn retrieval, please post a photo. For us geeks, it will be interesting to see how the sunrise moves across the horizon between the solstices...
