I have traveled to various states over the years and always made a point to find at least one geocache there just to make that U.S.A. map color in one more state. When I was doing more traveling, geocaching didn't have souvenirs. I have never been a numbers hound, nor have I been into collecting or trading things. For me geocaching has been about the fun of the hunt and the friendships I've developed. So when I first found out almost by accident that I'd "earned" a bunch of souvenirs, I kind of rolled my eyes. I'm just not into that. Periodically, though, I get a bee in my bonnet over some geocaching challenge or statistic and find myself trying to acquire something more. Recently it's been souvenirs, especially state souvenirs. I've found that they are not all equally valuable; some are worth more than others. The states all have their own bragging rights - things like size, population, admission to statehood - and so do the souvenirs. I have my own way of valuing them. You can look at my profile to see which souvenirs I've already earned, but I have my eye on some others. I've posted a picture below of ones I've found to be particularly interesting, so interesting in fact that I realized I could create a puzzle cache with them.
